Whole Body CryoTherapy

How does it work Step by Step?

Nitrogen gas blows into the CryoSauna cooling it to -167°F in 60 seconds. During this process, your skin’s surface temperature decreases from 93.2°F to 33.8°F, while keeping your internal body temperature in tact.

The skin reacts to the cold, and your body protects your internal organs by pushing blood to the core where it circulates. This sends messages to your brain that act as a stimulant to the regulatory functions of your body.

As your blood vessels begin vasoconstriction and circulate blood on an internal tract, red blood cells are enriched with oxygen, nutrients and enzymes, while toxins are flushed from peripheral tissues.

Upon the session concluding, enriched blood is pumped from the internal organs to the skin’s surface tissues, muscle tissues and joints, and endorphins are released which provide pain relief to affected areas.

For the next three to five hours, the enriched blood continues to be flushed through your body as you experience the healing benefits of cryotherapy

Whole Body CryoTherapy

During Whole Body Cryotherapy (WBC) the body is exposed to ultra-low temperatures, triggering a systemic anti-inflammatory response. The client is placed in the Whole Body Cryosauna for a short duration of 1.5-3 minutes which lowers the client’s skin surface temperature significantly and stimulates receptors without damaging any tissue. Using liquid nitrogen (which turns to gas once it hits the air), the Cryosauna is cooled to temperatures between −110°C and −150°C (−166°F to −238°F). The patient is given socks, gloves and slippers to wear in the Cryosauna to prevent frostbite on smaller extremities. The accelerated production of collagen improves skin elasticity and texture, reversing skin aging and the appearance of cellulite. Additionally, studies have shown a 500-800 calorie after burn associated with the body’s process to warm itself up. WBC boosts the body’s metabolic rate, accelerating weight loss outcomes. Professional athletes have discovered WBC as a powerful treatment to decrease recovery time and increase athletic performance.
